Alvin C. “Chuck” Dowden, Jr. is the senior partner at Dowden & Smith, L.L.C. Chuck has been practicing law in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, since 1986. He has been very involved in the Vernon Parish community, with active participation in both the Louisiana Lions Camp and the Vernon Parish School Board, where he served as an elected member.

He is currently the city attorney and prosecutor for the city of Leesville, LA, and was formerly an assistant district attorney. Chuck takes a firm approach in practicing law and has a reputation for taking on tough, complicated cases and seeing them through.
